Spring is arriving!   The best season to discover Vicenza and its surroundings in an original way! 

We propose the following program;  you can modify it, according to your tastes and exigences. 

Ist day: 

-arrival to Vicenza and accomodation in a beatiful country-house, easily reachable from the town. 

-visit to the hystorical center of Vicenza, which can be guided or by yourself : in case, we provide to give you the city-maps, information and suggestion on the most beautiful monuments and highlights to visit.   The centre of this wonderful town,  Unesco World's Heritage, is all pedestrian, , and you can enjoy to get around on feet, following your inspiration:  be quiet, it's impossible to get lost! 

-launch-tasting in the "bistrot" of an ancient typical food and wine shop , strictly based in home-made products:  you can taste the well-known "baccalà alla Vicentina"  , and our best local wines. 

-free afternoon :  in case, you can complete the visits  of  museum and exhibitions , included in the "Vicenza Museum Card". 

MORE:  as you know , Vicenza is one of the world centers for the gold manifacturing; so , exclusively for our guest, you can visit , if interested , a prestigious goldsmith and the adjoining lab, where owners create and produce their precious jewelry !
Or, optionally , you can visit an artistic printing house, and participate in a working phase!

Dinner in country-house , based on local genuines products. 

2nd day: 

-visit,  with guide or by yourself, of the most romantic and panoramic zone of Vicenza:  Monte Berico Hill , with the "Basilica" dedicated to the Virgin Mary , and the wonderful panorama of the town , its province, and the mountains well-known for being theatre of most important fights of Ist Global War.:  Pasubio, Grappa, Ortigara... 

in the late morning, or early afternoon, visit of the 2 most famous Venetian Villas of the town:  Villa Valmarana Ai Nani , magnifically frescoed by Giambattista Tiepolo and his son Giandomenico; and Villa Capra La Rotonda , among the most amazing buildings projected by Andrea Palladio, with the characteristic 4 entrances, one on each side.  By this Villa , studied in all the world, was taken inspiration for the project of the White House in Washington !   You will discover, moreover, the beauty of this zone,  green and silent , even if you are at less of 2 km from the centre of the town. 

In the late afternoon, or the following morning:  return .  

For each family a nice gift:  it could be a bottle of biological local wine, or a "pasta sauce" for the "bigoli" (our local home-made spaghetti) , or an illustrated guide of Vicenza and Palladian monuments . 

If you wish, you can rent bikes: fantastic bicycle paths leave from the heart of the town, and reach most beatiful and pleasant places of the Vicenza country-side.

Note: Vicenza is located in the centre of Venetian region, so , from this town, you can easily reach Venice (1 hour by car or train) , Verona (50 minutes), Padua (40 minutes), Bassano del Grappa (45 minutes)
